A critical need exists in today’s world for peace making tools.

For over 30 years, several hundred Planetary Dances™ led in communities worldwide, have given people a voice for their aspirations, hopes, and dreams.

In today’s world, we observe the power of the collective finding its voice in tweets, in texts, and on the streets. We observe the rapid speed of this raw transformational power – a force to harness for positive change.

We need your help to train more of these dedicated leaders - our worldwide network of dance peacemakers. Join us in spreading this peace technology.

Your tax-deductible gift will be used for tuition, lodging and travel. You can donate a flight using your frequent flyer miles. Or host a student (for those living in the S.F. Bay Area) - a wonderful opportunity to know and support these remarkable men and women in their vision. Funding beyond our sponsorship needs will allow us to complete the Planetary Dance handbook and video, valuable resources for our graduates.

Claudio Capamba Saliro  "I have marks of war in my life, " Claudio writes. Born in 1977 to a poor family, by the age of 15, Claudio's home was bombed and most of his family killed by the political wars raging in his native country of Angola. He was forced to flee on foot to a neighboring province. Returning 20 years later to find his family, he was arrested and trained to fight.

“I am a peace maker," he says. Since 2000, Claudio has helped lead peace programs in his region working with youth, women, children and elders. “We teach them the Human Right and how they have to participate in citizenship and how they can manage [to] prevent and resolve the conflicts.”

In 2006 Claudio attended his first Peace Dance [a Planetary Dance led by Tamalpa graduates in Angola]. "’The Dance for Peace’ is a healing for trauma. Because of it, I know what this people feel in they heart. Angola, Burundi, Ruwanda, Uganda - this area was very affected for 27 years and people need to recover. My intention [in training] - it's to carry a heal[ing] for those people."

Tara-Louise Rutter, a community dance-teacher in England, holds a BA in Honors Dance and Professional Practice and a MA in Dance Making and Performance from Coventry University. Her background includes work with cross- generational community dance projects, dance programs with children, training working with survivors of rape and abuse and dance artist in residence.

“Coventry suffered eleven hours of continuous bombing in the Blitz, the most of all the cities in England,” she writes. “Although the attack was many years ago, it still feels very present. My vision is to come back home to the UK and use the Planetary Dance Leadership skills to unite my community and help move the city forward.

Chaim (pictured at upper right of circle) has professional and academic training in Dance/Movement, Psychodrama, Transactional Analysis and is a Gestalt psychotherapist.

He brings an extensive background working in multi-cultural organizations to facilitate peace in his region. The special focus/theme he has created is ‘Facilitating Peace, Justice, Healing, and Community Renewal in the Middle East.’ He writes, "Participants will be invited to dedicate their dance to someone - or some intention - that connects them personally to this theme."
